Instructor Led Security Awareness Training

    Service Overview

    This Awareness initiative will provide some or all components of a comprehensive, custom security awareness program. More importantly it will provide Client with reduced personnel risk and heightened awareness of security risks and their consequences.

    Objectives

    The objectives of this initiative are as follows:

    • Reinforce best practices for cyber security for all facets of an individual's life: work, home, or public spaces
    • Educate personnel regarding common security threats, attacks and consequences
    • Educate personnel on policies, roles and responsibilities
    • Educate personnel to identify and report incidents
    • Change personnel behaviors and reduce personnel risk
    • Support compliance for regulatory requirements in awareness programs
    • Develop a culture of security

    Methodology

    Instructor Led Security Awareness Training consists of the following phases:

    1. INITIALIZATION MEETING - DeepSeas will host an initialization meeting to review the objectives, methodology, scope, and deliverables in the Statement of Work, and determine any specific content that needs to be included.
    2. DEVELOP AWARENESS TRAINING- In conjunction with Client requests and specific needs, Awareness instructors will develop an interactive Security Awareness training that includes current threats, best practices to achieve proper cyber hygiene for all participants.
    3. TRAINING - Participants will be provided information on best practices in multiple areas of cybersecurity including, passwords/password security, recognizing social engineering, physical security, and current threats. An interactive game is utilized to re-enforce principles included in the training. 


    This Awareness initiative is based on the following regulations and standards:

    • NIST SP 800-50 Building an Information Technology Security Awareness and Training Program
    • NIST SP 800-16 A Role-Based Model for Federal Information Technology/Cyber Security Training

    DeepSeas Awareness programs are delivered by certified security professionals and trainers with extensive cybersecurity expertise using language that the audience will understand and relate with. Each of the trainings is uniquely customized for your organization.

    Deliverables

    DeepSeas will produce the following deliverables:

    1. INITIALIZATION MEETING - DeepSeas will host an initialization meeting to conduct introductions and familiarize Client with the initiative. This meeting will be no longer than sixty (60) minutes and it is intended to review the objectives, methodology, scope and deliverables in the Proposal.
    2. PROJECT PLAN - DeepSeas will deliver a project plan that describes the tasks, milestones, resources, and project start and end dates of each major deliverable.
    3. COPY OF INSTRUCTOR-LED PRESENTATION - DeepSeas will provide a pdf copy of the Instructor-Led Training that was provided.
    4. COLLATERAL - DeepSeas will deliver full-color, ready-to-hang awareness posters covering various security topics.
    5. TRANSITION MEETING - At the end of the project, DeepSeas will host a transition meeting to validate all expectations have been met.

    Client Responsibilities

    The client is responsible for the completion of the following tasks, in accordance with agreed-upon timelines established as part of the project plan. 

    1. Client to assign a point of contact (POC) responsible for client coordination and logistics. 
    2. The client is responsible for scheduling and coordination of internal client resources for all project work.
